Pairidex Appoints Allyson Mayer, PhD, as Chief Operating Officer

Pairidex, an emerging leader in MRD testing for hematologic malignancies, today announced the appointment of Allyson Mayer, PhD, as Chief Operating Officer. Mayer joined Pairidex July 20 to support the company’s commercial launch of FusionMRD, a laboratory-developed test (LDT) for personalized monitoring of fusion-driven blood cancers.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mayer will oversee Pairidex’s operations and support the company’s continued growth, with responsibility for laboratory operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and customer fulfillment.

“Pairidex is at an exciting inflection point, and I’m thrilled to join the team at such an important stage in the company’s growth,” said Mayer. “I look forward to helping Pairidex build on its momentum and bring FusionMRD to patients and clinicians.”

“We are excited to welcome Allyson into this leadership role and look forward to her continued contributions as Pairidex advances its mission and scales its operations,” said Paul Kortschak, CEO of Pairidex. “Her deep understanding of Pairidex, combined with her experience in biotech company building and operations, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team.”

Mayer has supported Pairidex since the company’s founding, initially serving as interim COO while serving as a Principal at BioGenerator Ventures, an early investor and co-founder of the company. During her interim role, Pairidex established a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified lab and launched FusionMRD as an LDT. The company recently announced the close of a $4.9M oversubscribed Seed round to accelerate commercialization.

During her five years at BioGenerator Ventures, Mayer led due diligence and deal execution for investments in early-stage biotech startups. She also helped co-found companies through BioGenerator’s company-building model and served on boards of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining BioGenerator Ventures, Mayer was a computational biologist at PercayAI, a startup developing AI software for drug discovery. She also brings project management experience from Nuventra Pharma Sciences.

Mayer earned her PhD in Developmental, Regenerative, and Stem Cell Biology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
